Horizon League Indoor Track Athletes of the Week
Steven Murphy
Butler, Junior, Wexford, Ireland
Murphy won the men's 3,000m run at the Notre Dame Opener with a Horizon League-best time of 8:35.35. He finished more than a full second ahead of Deng Mariel of Windsor, Ontario.
Darcelle Formby
Youngstown State, Freshman, Cleveland, Ohio
Formby earned two victories at Robert Morris last weekend, claiming honors in the 200m (26.40) and the long jump. In her first ever long jump event at the collegiate level, Formby earned a mark of 5.51m, good for tops in the Horizon League and fifth on YSU's all-time list.

Jimel Denham
Loyola, So., Round Lake Beach, Ill.
Denham captured his second event title in less than a week to lead Loyola at the Notre Dame Opener last week. He followed up his 55-meter dash win at Carthage on Jan. 14 by finishing first in the 200-meter dash with a season-best time of 22.29, good for fifth in school history for the event.
Gabe Wagoner
UW-Milwaukee, Sr., Peshtigo, Wis.
Wagoner led four Panthers at the University of Nebraska's Adidas Classic, winning the 800m. He crossed the line in that event with a time of 1:52.92, beating the second place finisher by nearly a second. Wagoner's time is also a Horizon League-best this season.
Jarrod Davis
Youngstown State, Sr., East Canton, Ohio
Davis claimed victory in the shot put with a personal-best mark of 15.44m and the weight throw with a mark of 17.90m at Robert Morris. His distance in the shot put moved him into second on YSU's all-time list. He also ranks first in the Horizon League in both events.
Marcus Davis
Detroit, So., Fairlawn, Ohio
Davis finished fourth in the 600m race at the Red Simmons Invitational, crossing the line in a personal-best time of 1:21.10. The mark ranks third on the Titan's all-time list for the 600m event.
Brandon Cook
UIC, Sr., Decatur, Ill.
Cook claimed a pair of sixth-place finishes on Saturday at the EIU Mega Meet. He ran a 7.00 in the 60-meter dash before finishing the 200-meter dash in 22.91.
Inshirah Grimes
Loyola, Sr., Shaker Heights, Ohio
Grimes led the Ramblers at the Notre Dame Opener last week with a throw of 42-06 in the shot put, narrowly missing her career-high distance of 42-06.25.
Casanav Simmons
Wright State, So., Columbus, Ohio
Simmons won both the 200 and the 400-meter dash at the Marietta Open on Saturday. She finished the 200m in a time of 26.76, while her time of 1:00.29 in the 400m ranks second in the Horizon League this season.
Isabelle Stoate
Butler, So., Horwood, U.K.
Stoate picked up the lone win for the Butler women's track team with a first-place finish in the 3,000m run at the Notre Dame Opener. She paced the field with a time of 10:18.81, finishing a full second ahead of Loryn King of Notre Dame in second place.
Andrea Karl
Detroit, Sr., Casco City, Mich.
Karl won the mile race at the Red Simmons Invitational with a time of 5:02.22, more than 10 seconds ahead of second place. Her mark in the mile ranks third in the Horizon League this season.
Jessica Fouche
UIC, Sr., Chicago, Ill.
Fouche continued to pace the UIC women's team with a pair of second-place finishes at the EIU Mega Meet. She took second-place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.21 then earned a time of 59.60 in the 400m race.
