Horizon League Indoor Track Athletes of the Week
Brandon Cook
UIC, Senior, Decatur, Ill.
Cook paced the UIC squad to a second-place finish at the Chicago Opener by winning a pair of events. He finished first in the 55-meter race with a time of 6.59 before taking top honors in the 200-meter race, finishing with a time of 23.12.
Jessica Fouche
UIC, Senior, Chicago, Ill.
Fouce won a trio of events for the UIC team at the Chicago Opener, leading the Flames to a first-place finish. Fouce earned wins in the 55-meter (7.35), 200-meter (26.23) and the 400-meter (1:01.13).

Cheri Christiansen
Detroit, Junior, Potterville, Mich.
Christiansen set a personal best in the pole vault at the Jack Harvey Invitational, clearing 10 ft. Her jump earned a tie for 11th-place.
Upcoming Schedule
Butler kicks off the new year on Wednesday, January 11, as the Bulldogs travel to Greencastle, Indiana, for the DePauw Open. Five other Horizon League teams get back into action over the weekend as University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Loyola University Chicago compete at the Division I Invitational, hosted by Carthage College, Detroit visits Eastern Michigan, UIC heads to the Purdue Invitational and Youngstown State competes at the Black Squirrel Classic in Kent, Ohio.
