Chicago, Ill. - Pitching is a dominant part of the game of softball and the Loyola University Chicago softball team recently did its part to help pitch in to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina as the Rambler program recently made a donation of nearly $800 to the Red Cross.
All of the proceeds from a fund-raising event the team participated in on September 3 will be donated to the Red Cross. Loyola's 16-player squad volunteered for an average of six hours each for a total of 100 combined volunteer hours to raise funds for the hurricane victims.
