Horizon League Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week
Terell Williams
UIC, So., Rock Island, Ill.
Williams set the school record in the decathlon, won the long jump and took fourth in the triple jump in leading the UIC men's track and field team to a second place finish at the Chicagoland Championships. Williams cruised to the decathlon crown with a point total of 6,245, besting the school record of 6,018 set by Mike Savegnago in 2005. He also won the long jump with a leap of 6.84m while placing fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 13.36m.

Jenni Saarinen
UW-Milwaukee, Fr., Lappeenranta, Finland
Saarinen won the heptathlon at the Big Blue Multi-Event last week in Charleston, Ill. She posted the second-best heptathlon score in school history, finishing with 4,750 points, second only to Kristy Naef's score of 4,889 points from the same meet in 2001. Aiding in the rookie's score was a high jump of 5-6 1/2, which also sits second in school history, and a javelin throw of 122-0, which is third all-time. She finished first in three of the seven events, while taking second in the field in the remaining four. Her score was also 601 points better than second place.

Marcus Davis
Detroit, So., Fairlawn, Ohio
Davis finished third in 800 meters at Miami Invitational with a time of 1:54.15. He then followed that up the next day by winning the 800 meter dash in dual vs. Oakland with a time of 2:03.8, taking the race by a tenth of a second in a close finish.
Scott Overall
Butler, Jr, Twickenham, UK
Overall ran an off-distance 800m race at Miami (OH) and pulled off a second place finish with a time of 1:53.
Jarrod Davis
Youngstown State, Sr., East Canton, Ohio
Davis qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regional and broke the school record in the hammer at the All-Ohio Championship. Davis posted a mark of 189 feet, 9 inches to top his old school mark by more than 19 feet. He also finished seventh in the discus with a mark of 145-9.
Trentin Edwards
UW-Milwaukee, Jr., Milwaukee, Wis.
Edwards won the 100m and 200m in leading the Panthers to a decisive win at the Warrior Invitational. He finished tied for first in the 200m, running a time of 21.70. In the 100m, he won the race, but times were not available due to a timing malfunction. UWM paced the seven-team field with 267 points, 111 better than second place.
Sean Conroy
Loyola, Sr., Cork, Ireland
In his first meet of the outdoor season, Conroy placed third in the 1,500-meter run at the Chicagoland Championships last weekend. He finished the race with a time of 3:57.91, which ranks as the second best time on the team in the young season.
Jill Britton
Wright State, Jr., Newark, Ohio
Britton jumped a height of 3.20 meters at the All-Ohio Championships for a 10th place finish.
Andrea Karl
Detroit, Sr., Casco, Mich.
Karl scored in two different races at the Miami Invitational. She earned one point for her eighth place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.96, then added six points towards the Titans final score with a third place finish in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:33.40.
Genevieve Gardner
Butler, So, Bramley, UK
Gardner placed 2nd in the 32 woman field in the 1500m at the Miami (OH) Invitational with a personal best time of 4:32.
Satara Freeman
Youngstown State, Sr., Canton, Ohio
Freeman finished third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.24 seconds to lead the women's squad at the All-Ohio Championship. She added a ninth-place finish in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:09.38.
Idara Essien
UIC, So., Wheaton, Ill.
Essien bested her own school record in the triple jump for the second consecutive week, highlighting the UIC women's track and field team's weekend at the Chicagoland Championships. She took the title in the triple jump with a school-record leap of 11.94m. She also placed second in the long jump with a distance of 5.34m.
Inshirah Grimes
Loyola, Sr., Shaker Heights, Ohio
Grimes placed second in her first-ever Heptathlon competition at the Chicagoland Championships, scoring 4,235 points for her first top-five performance in the event.
