Horizon League Swimmers of the Week

Bjorn Schantz

Cleveland State, Junior, Loddekopinge, Sweden

Schantz improved upon his Horizon League-best times in the 500 freestyle and the 1,000 freestyle at Ohio State on Nov. 22, swimming to a win in the 500 in 4:33.88 and cutting nearly six seconds off of his 1,000 time with a 9:23.94.  He also holds the Horizon League mark in the 200 freestyle with a 1:40.28.

Marianne Lionell

Cleveland State, Junior, Sodertajle, Sweden

Lionell improved on her CSU season-best times at Ohio State on Nov. 22, swimming to second-place times in the 100 freestyle (53.50) and 100 breaststroke (1:07.88).  She also swam the second leg of the second-place 200 medley relay team.

Horizon League Diver of the Week

Thatcher Carr

Cleveland State, Senior, Russell, Ohio

Carr set a McCorkle Aquatic Center record in the one-meter boards at Ohio State on Nov. 22, diving to a 328.65 for his 25th consecutive win.  His winning streak ended at the three-meter boards with a third-place score of 310.72, but he has still managed to score a 300 or higher in 26-striaght events.
